Electricity blackout in the country due to sudden drop in power transmission system from 50 to 0

National Power Control Centre NPCC working under Pepco ! Ministry of power controls the transmission / distribution across the country . Reportedly tripping in transmission in south due to fog lead to tripping of entire system .

Wapda is all set to help them to resume power transmission through Auxilary resumption as and when NPCC gives a go ahead .

Trying to figure out the cause of the frequency drop

Attempts are currently being made to run Tarbela, which will restore the power system in order

There is an appeal for restraint from the people

All the teams have reached their respective stations at this time

Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan himself is overseeing the restoration work

The public will be kept informed from time to time
