Former President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain has passed away
Former president’s son Arsalan Mamnoon confirmed his death, saying he was suffering from cancer. He had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for two weeks.
Funeral prayers and burial of former President Mamnoon Hussain will be held in Karachi today.
Arsalan said that his father was suffering from cancer and today he met Khaliq Haqeeqi in Karachi.

Mamnoon Hussain was one of the senior leaders of PML-N and he was the Governor of Sindh in the 1999 PML-N government and the President from 2013 to 2018.
Former President Mamnoon Hussain was born on December 23, 1940 in Agra, India and his family emigrated to Pakistan in 1947. And lived in Karachi
Former President Mamnoon Hussain graduated from Karachi University and did his Masters from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA). He started a business in Karachi in the 1960s and later became involved in politics.
Former President Mamnoon Hussain was 81 years old and left behind a widow and three sons.
On the demise of former President Mamnoon Hussain, President Arif Alvi, Chief of Army Staff General Bajwa, PML-N’s Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, PTI leader Faisal Wada, Maryam Nawaz and other political and government figures expressed their condolences and forgiveness.
