Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid and Chinese Ambassador met at  Islamabad. The Chinese Ambassador said that Gilgit-Baltistan projects would be given priority in CPEC .

 

The Raikot to Thakot Motorway project has been included in the CPEC at the 10th JCC meeting. The project will begin soon.

 

Gilgit-Baltistan hydraulic power policy will be approved. Investment will also be made in hydraulic projects in Gilgit-Baltistan and in various projects in the field of minerals. Seno Pak friendship is ideal.

 

The Gilgit-Baltistan government needs the help of a memorial to the Chinese workers . The Chinese Ambassador said that there is a path of very close and strong friendship between Pakistan and china in which Gilgit-Baltistan has a special status.

 

During the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador assured that the Chinese government would ensure all possible cooperation for Gilgit-Baltistan.

Xing Jaing said that recommendations for the installation of transmission line for Gilgit-Baltistan would be put before top Chinese officials.

 

Special assistance will also be provided for the installation of gas generation plant for Gilgit-Baltistan and in the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador expressed interest in expanding the Vietnam-style special policy to promote the arrival of Chinese tourists in Gilgit-Baltistan.

 

The issues facing the Gilgit-Baltistan traders will be brought before the top officials of the Chinese government, Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that full cooperation would be extended for the construction of a memorial in the memory of Chinese workers.

 

Gilgit-Baltistan’s power policy is in the final stages of approval. Once the policy is approved, Chinese investors will be able to take advantage of investment opportunities in existing hydraulic projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.

 

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that Tashghar Thing would help solve the problem of load shedding in Gilgit-Baltistan. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid proposed the introduction of a border market on the China border which would boost bilateral trade and create new business opportunities.

 

The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan will provide assistance for the establishment of a quarantine department on the Susta Border to promote exports and trade. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid said that he wanted to build an international airport in Gilgit which would further boost trade between the two countries.

 

The federal government has been recommended to start special flights from Skardu to Urumchi. The Government of Gilgit Baltistan has requested special assistance to Chaina for the construction of a state-of-the-art economic zone in Gilgit. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid also apprised the Chinese Ambassador of the problems faced by the traders of Gilgit-Baltistan and said that these issues should be brought before the top Chinese authorities for resolution. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid also invited the Chinese Ambassador to visit Gilgit-Baltistan.
