chilas . A Marco Polo bus coming from Pindi has met with an accident near Chilas farm area. According to initial information, the bus has fallen down the road. There were 35 passengers, 18 were killed and 18 were injured

Chilas.

Marcopolo bus, which was going from Rawalpindi to Hunza, near KKH Chalas of Yashukal Das area , suddenly went out of control and fell down the road on the bank of river Indus.
In the unfortunate accident, many people were injured while many passengers including women died. Rescue 1122 Chalas, Police, Pakistan Army and local volunteers have reached the spot and rescue operations are going on.
The injured have been shifted to Chilas Hospital.
On the special instructions of Director General Rescue 1122 Shuja Alam, ambulances and mortuary vans were dispatched from Gilgit, Hunzanagar, Astor, Ghazar and Skardu as soon as the information was received.
A total of 12 ambulances and 30 personnel of Rescue 1122 participated in this entire operation.
Director General Rescue 1122, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 has expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate accident.
